About the author
Zak Bagans is an American paranormal investigator and television personality, best known as the host and executive producer of the Travel Channel series Ghost Adventures, which he has fronted since 2008. He is also the founder of the Haunted Museum in Las Vegas, a collection of reportedly haunted and cursed objects gathered from his investigations. His books extend that on-screen work into print: Ghost-Hunting for Dummies is a practical, how-to guide to paranormal investigation aimed at beginners, covering equipment, technique, and case methodology, while Dark World: Into the Shadows with the Lead Investigator of the Ghost Adventures Crew is a more personal account of his years investigating reportedly haunted locations. Both books trade on Bagans's television profile and present paranormal investigation as a structured pursuit, aimed at fans of the show and readers curious about ghost-hunting methodology.
