About the author
Tom Slemen is a British author from Liverpool known for his long-running writing on ghost stories, folklore and unexplained phenomena, much of it tied to Liverpool and the surrounding Merseyside region. He is best known for his Haunted Liverpool series, self-published through Createspace, which by its eighteenth volume, Haunted Liverpool 18 (2016), continued documenting reputedly supernatural sites and stories from the city. Haunted Wirral (2015) extends the same approach to the Wirral peninsula, covering accounts of hauntings, premonitions and other paranormal reports gathered from the area. Slemen has built a large readership through newspaper columns and other regular writing on similar themes over several decades, and his books are aimed at readers with an established interest in local ghost lore and paranormal case collections rather than skeptical or academic audiences.
