About the author
Silvana Alasia is an illustrator whose tempera-on-papyrus style has been applied to a series of Egyptian-themed tarot and oracle decks published by Llewellyn Publications. Egyptian Gods Oracle Cards (2022) followed her earlier Egyptian Tarot, using a palette of primary colors to depict ancient Egyptian deities in a style intended to evoke the feel of Egyptian art. Egyptian Sacred Animals Oracle (2025) extends the same approach to the ancient Egyptian custom of animal worship, with each card devoted to a different sacred animal. Across the series, Alasia's decks are built around a consistent visual identity rather than varying technique from deck to deck, and are aimed at tarot and oracle collectors with a specific interest in Egyptian mythology and iconography rather than general divination practice.
