About the author
Robert Simmons is an American author and gemstone dealer known for his writing on the metaphysical and healing properties of crystals and minerals. He is best known for The Book of Stones, co-written with Naisha Ahsian, a widely used reference that catalogs hundreds of stones alongside their folklore, chakra associations, and reported energetic qualities, later issued in a revised edition and in Spanish translation. His other books for Destiny Books, including The Alchemy of Stones and The Book of Moldavite: Starborn Stone of Transformation, extend the same approach to individual stones and to what he describes as co-creative work with minerals for personal and planetary healing. Simmons writes from within the crystal-healing tradition rather than a scientific one, combining physical description of stones with intuitive and spiritual interpretation for readers already interested in gem and crystal practice.
