About the author
Patricia Pereira is the author of the Arcturian Star Chronicles series, published by Atria Books, comprising Songs of the Arcturians, Eagles of the New Dawn, and Arcturian Songs of the Masters of Light. According to the books' own account, Pereira, previously working as a medical transcriptionist, began receiving telepathic communications from the star Arcturus in 1987 and was directed to record them across a series of manuscripts. The resulting texts present themselves as channeled material intended to awaken readers to what the books describe as individual and collective spiritual responsibility for planetary wellbeing. Structured as a multi-volume chronicle rather than standalone titles, the series is aimed at readers already engaged with channeled and extraterrestrial-contact literature within the spiritualism category, continuing a body of work that developed volume by volume through the 1990s.
