About the author

Nicola McIntosh is the illustrator and author behind a series of hand-drawn card decks published by Rockpool Publishing between 2023 and 2025. Her catalogue centres on the natural world as a source of symbolism: Mushroom Spirit Oracle (2023) and its companion Mushroom Affirmations (2025) draw on thirty-six and forty hand-drawn fungi from around the world, each paired with a short message, while Crystal Grid Oracle – Deluxe Edition (2023) expands an earlier deck to seventy-two cards built around crystal correspondences. Each work follows the oracle-card format: a themed set of images with an accompanying booklet meant for personal reflection or divination practice rather than sustained reading. The books sit within the crystals-and-energy and tarot-and-divination sections of the catalogue and are aimed at readers already familiar with card-based divination who want a nature- or crystal-themed deck to add to their practice.
