About the author
Mark McElroy is listed as the author of two beginner-level guides from Llewellyn Publications, Lucid Dreaming for Beginners: Simple Techniques for Creating Interactive Dreams and I Ching for Beginners: A Modern Interpretation of the Ancient Oracle, published in 2007 and 2005. Both books are written as accessible introductions rather than advanced or scholarly treatments: the lucid dreaming title walks readers through techniques for recognizing and directing dreams, while the I Ching book offers plain-language summaries of the text's sixty-four hexagrams for readers with no prior background in Chinese divination systems. The two titles sit in different catalogue categories, dreams and astral work on one side, tarot and divination on the other, but share a common approach of breaking a large, historically dense subject into short, practical steps. They suit readers looking for a first, unintimidating entry point into either lucid dreaming practice or I Ching consultation rather than readers wanting historical or comparative depth.
