About the author
Louie Harris is credited as the author of two books recounting the life and work of the physical medium Alec Harris, to whom she was married for 46 years. Alec Harris - The Full Story of His Remarkable Physical Mediumship, published by Saturday Night Press Publications, expands on material previously issued in part as They Walked Among Us, describing how a young man initially skeptical of the paranormal became, in the book's account, one of the era's notable materialization mediums. A German-language edition, Alec Harris: Die Geschichte Eines Großen Materialisationsmediums, was also issued by the same publisher. Written from the perspective of someone who shared decades of Harris's life and mediumship practice, the book offers a personal, first-hand record rather than an outside historical analysis, and is aimed at readers already interested in the history of physical mediumship and the British spiritualist movement of the twentieth century.
