About the author
Linda Zimmermann is a prolific author of regional ghost-investigation books, most published by her own Eagle Press or by Schiffer Publishing, built around firsthand accounts of reportedly haunted sites in New York State and beyond. Her Ghost Investigator series, including Volume 2: From Gettysburg to Lizzie Borden and Volume 6 Dark Shadows, covers well-known historical mysteries and lesser-known local cases, from Civil War battlefields to former asylums and Masonic lodges. Hudson Valley Haunts is structured as a driving tour of haunted sites through New York's Hudson River Valley, tying ghost stories to specific accessible locations, while America's Historic Haunts extends the same approach nationally, from Alaska to Florida. Across her catalogue Zimmermann presents herself as an active investigator recounting firsthand and historical accounts, writing for readers interested in ghost lore connected to real, visitable American places.
