About the author
Lalania Simone is the founder of Alchemy Ritual Goods and the creator of three tarot and oracle decks published by Weiser Books: Wise Earth Medicine Tarot, Tarot of the Cosmic Seed, and The Oracle of Awakening. Wise Earth Medicine Tarot is a 78-card deck built around imagery from the natural world, its animals, insects, and plants, paired with a guidebook aimed at simplifying tarot for newer readers. Tarot of the Cosmic Seed is described as an effort to move away from older tarot conventions around hierarchy and gender, offering original imagery and symbolism across its 79 cards. The Oracle of Awakening, a forty-four-card deck, is framed around directing readers' attention toward areas of their life needing reflection or care. Across the three decks, Simone works as both artist and deck designer, producing decks aimed at readers who want updated, inclusive imagery alongside guidebooks for interpretation.
