About the author
L'Aura Hladik is the author of the Ghosthunting New Jersey and Ghosthunting New York City guides published by Clerisy Press as part of its regional ghost-hunting series. Each book profiles more than thirty reportedly haunted locations that are open to the public, from Ghosthunting New Jersey's tour of thirty-four sites across the Garden State to the comparable count of locations covered in Ghosthunting New York City. The books are written as travel guides as much as ghost-story collections, structured so readers can visit the places described and, as the books put it, test their own ghosthunting skills. Both titles appear in the catalogue in more than one edition, including a later Ghosthunting New Jersey printing from 2018 and an earlier one from 2008. The material is aimed at readers interested in regional folklore and reportedly haunted sites who want a practical itinerary alongside the stories themselves, rather than a general history of ghost lore.
