About the author
Jwing-Ming Yang, known to readers as Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming, is a martial arts teacher and author who founded YMAA, the organization behind YMAA Publication Center, which has published his books for decades. Alongside his lifelong training in Chinese martial arts and qigong, he has written extensively on both the physical and philosophical sides of these traditions. His later book, The DAO De Jing: A Qigong Interpretation (2018), reads the classical Chinese text through the lens of qigong practice. His work is aimed at practitioners and students of Chinese martial arts and internal training rather than general readers.
