About the author
Jessica Freeburg is a paranormal investigator and author who, together with a co-investigator, writes regional collections of reportedly true monster and ghost encounters for Adventure Publications. Titles include Ghosts of the Wild West (2025), covering Deadwood, Tombstone, and other frontier sites, Ghostly Tales of Ohio (2025), and a Monsters series covering the Pacific Northwest, the South, the Northeast, and the Midwest, each gathering twenty to twenty-six short accounts tied to specific regions and creatures, from Bigfoot and sea serpents to vampires and swamp beasts. The books present themselves as based on firsthand interviews and reported sightings rather than folklore research alone, reflecting Freeburg's stated background as a field investigator. Consistently structured as short, self-contained stories organized by geography, the series is aimed at readers drawn to regional cryptid and ghost lore told in an accessible, storytelling format.
