About the author
Jennifer Cooper Steidley is the creator of Tarot Disassembled, a 2025 Weiser Books project consisting of a seventy-eight-card deck and a companion guidebook. The deck reworks the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith symbolism of the Major and Minor Arcana into bold, simplified graphics, and the guidebook, Tarot Disassembled Guidebook, walks through that same symbolism card by card so readers can connect the redesigned imagery back to established tarot meanings. The pairing is aimed at readers who already have some familiarity with tarot's traditional symbol set and want a visually distinct, more graphic interpretation of it, as well as newer readers who find bold color and simplified iconography easier to absorb than dense esoteric detail. Both titles came from the same publisher in the same year, suggesting they were conceived and released as a single unified set rather than sequential, independent works.
