About the author
Jason Hawes co-founded The Atlantic Paranormal Society (T.A.P.S.) and became widely known as a star of the television series Ghost Hunters, which followed his team's investigations of reportedly haunted locations across the United States. With co-author Grant Wilson, he wrote Seeking Spirits, recounting the pair's early T.A.P.S. cases from before the show's success, and Ghost Files: The Collected Cases from Ghost Hunting and Seeking Spirits (Gallery Books), which gathers investigations at sites including the Stanley Hotel in Colorado, the hotel that inspired Stephen King's The Shining. Hawes's books extend the format of his television work into print: first-person accounts of specific investigations, equipment, and reasoning, aimed at readers already familiar with the paranormal-investigation genre he helped popularize on screen.
