About the author
Isha Lerner is the author, with illustrator Christopher Guilfoil, of the Inner Child Cards tarot system, published by Bear & Company. The books listed here, "Inner Child Cards Workbook: Further Exercises and Mystical Teachings from the Fairy-Tale Tarot" (2002) and a revised edition of "Inner Child Cards: A Fairy-Tale Tarot," both build on that system. They map the archetypes and structure of classic fairy tales onto the seventy-eight card tarot format to explore childhood memory, emotional healing, and the relationship between conscious and unconscious experience. The workbook adds further interpretations and exercises for readers already using the deck, while the revised edition updates the original cards and accompanying text. Lerner's work sits in the tarot and divination category and is aimed at readers interested in using tarot for reflecting on childhood experience, dream work and personal recovery, rather than at traditional fortune telling.
