About the author

Dora Van Gelder Kunz was a clairvoyant and Theosophist who later served as president of the Theosophical Society in America, and who worked with Dolores Krieger to develop Therapeutic Touch. Her books here reflect two threads of that work: The Real World of Fairies, a first-person account of what she described as encounters with nature spirits from childhood onward, and Personal Aura, which presents her clairvoyant observations of the human energy field, illustrated with color plates showing how it appears to change with age and illness. Both books, published by Quest Books, are written from Kunz's own claimed perceptual experience rather than as instructional manuals, positioning her as an observer describing a subtle world she said she could see directly. They are aimed at readers already receptive to Theosophical and clairvoyant literature.
