About the author
Cheri Farnsworth is the author of a series of regional ghost story collections published by Globe Pequot and Stackpole Books, covering New York State, Massachusetts, and the Hudson Valley. Haunted New York City and The Big Book of New York Ghost Stories gather reported hauntings and local legends from across the state, while Haunted Massachusetts: Ghosts and Strange Phenomena of the Bay State and Haunted Hudson Valley extend the same approach to New England and the Hudson River corridor. The books are organized around place, moving through cemeteries, historic homes, and city neighborhoods to recount stories tied to specific sites. Farnsworth writes in the popular regional-history and folklore tradition, presenting reported sightings and local tales rather than investigative or academic analysis. Her books suit readers interested in local ghost lore and history tied to specific American regions.
