About the author
Charles A. Ward is known for Oracles of Nostradamus: A Classic Study of Prophecy, Astrology, and Occult History, a substantial study of the life and prophecies of Michel de Nostredame, first published in the nineteenth century and kept in print by publishers including A & D Publishing, Createspace, and Cosimo Classics. The book combines biography, historical commentary, and translation, working through Nostradamus's quatrains and their historical reception rather than presenting new predictions. Ward marshals linguistic and historical detail to explain the reasoning behind his readings of the prophecies, positioning the book as an early scholarly attempt to explain Nostradamus's reputation rather than a popular prediction guide. Its repeated reissue across more than a century points to a lasting readership among students of prophecy and occult history. The book suits readers interested in the historical study of Nostradamus rather than contemporary astrology or divination practice.
