About the author
Asha Frost is an Anishinaabe (Ojibway) healer and teacher from Canada, known for bringing Indigenous medicine traditions to a wider audience through Hay House. Her book You Are the Medicine: 13 Moons of Indigenous Wisdom, Ancestral Connection, and Animal Spirit Guidance structures its teaching around the thirteen Ojibwe moons, pairing each with guidance drawn from animal spirits and ancestral connection. The Animal Elders Oracle (2024), a forty-four-card deck and guidebook, extends this into divination, offering guidance framed as coming from the animal spirit realm and rooted in the same Indigenous frameworks. Frost writes from her position as an Indigenous Medicine Woman, presenting the material as an invitation into ancestral and ecological ways of knowing rather than as a generic wellness system. Her books are aimed at readers seeking a specifically Indigenous lens on healing, animal symbolism and connection to land, alongside her earlier title The Sacred Medicine Oracle.
