About the author
Andy Weeks is the author of a series of regional ghost-story collections covering Minnesota, the Dakotas, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah, published mainly by Globe Pequot and Stackpole Books between 2012 and 2025. Big Book of Minnesota Ghost Stories gathers tales organized by city and region, while Haunted Dakotas and Haunted Oregon cover apparitions, cryptid encounters, and UFO reports specific to those states. Ghosts of Idaho's Magic Valley focuses on a single region's hauntings and local lore. Written for a general audience rather than researchers, Weeks's books retell reported hauntings and strange local legends in a narrative, story-collection format aimed at readers of regional folklore and ghost tourism.
