About the author
Andrea Perron is the author of "House of Darkness House of Light," a three-volume memoir recounting her family's years living in the Arnold Estate farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, beginning in 1970. The Perron family's experiences there, and the investigations conducted by Ed and Lorraine Warren, became the basis for the 2013 film "The Conjuring," giving Perron's account a wide audience beyond readers already interested in hauntings. Across the three volumes, published by Authorhouse, she describes her parents' purchase of the house, the escalating disturbances the family reported over multiple years, and the toll on the five daughters raised there. Written from the perspective of the eldest daughter rather than as an investigator's report, the books emphasize sustained first-person narrative over analysis, aimed at readers drawn to the Conjuring story who want the family's own extended account of events.
