Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The typesetting is comfortable for study, with good margins for notes.
Added this to my reference shelf. A text you study rather than simply read. You can tell why this work has endured. Would buy from this store again.
Exactly what I was looking for. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Solid, if not essential.
Grabbed this during a weekend order. Every rereading turns up something I missed. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Great value for what you get.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Still worth having on the shelf.
Needed this for my research. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes.
