I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. A text you study rather than simply read. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared.
Was skeptical at first. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Great value for what you get.

Added this to my reference shelf. The typesetting is comfortable for study, with good margins for notes. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. The font runs small in the appendices. Good, with the caveats above.
I keep coming back to this one. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Every rereading turns up something I missed. Five stars from me.
