A friend in my study group recommended this one. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. A keeper.
As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. A keeper.
Took a chance on this and glad I did. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. If you're drawn to this subject, don't hesitate.
This has been on my wishlist for months. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Great value for what you get.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Already eyeing my next order.
