Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. A text you study rather than simply read. One of my better finds this year.
Added this to my reference shelf. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Finally got around to ordering this. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Still worth having on the shelf.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. The typesetting is comfortable for study, with good margins for notes. Recommended with reservations.
