Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. A few pages arrived with light corner wear, though nothing serious. Good, with the caveats above.
Was skeptical at first. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Solid, if not essential.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Happy enough with the purchase.
Added this to my reference shelf. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. The font runs small in the appendices.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. You can tell why this work has endured. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. Highly recommend to serious students.
