Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Good, with the caveats above.

I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared. Five stars from me.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. Deserves a place on any esoteric bookshelf.
