My book club chose this last month. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. A keeper.
This has been on my wishlist for months. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. A keeper.
Long-time student of the esoteric here. Every rereading turns up something I missed. A text you study rather than simply read. Definitely recommend.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Still worth having on the shelf.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Happy enough with the purchase.
This edition finally does the material justice. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Five stars from me.
