Exactly what I was looking for. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Five stars from me.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Recommended with reservations.
