Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. Deserves a place on any esoteric bookshelf.
This edition finally does the material justice. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Some archaic spellings slow things down. Recommended with reservations.

As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. Every rereading turns up something I missed. The font runs small in the appendices.
I keep coming back to this one. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. Still worth having on the shelf.
