Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. You can tell why this work has endured. Deserves a place on any esoteric bookshelf.
Perfect companion for my morning study sessions. The typesetting is comfortable for study, with good margins for notes. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Happy enough with the purchase.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes.
This exceeded my expectations. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. A text you study rather than simply read. Recommended with reservations.
I keep coming back to this one. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Good, with the caveats above.
